The Good, the Bad, and What’s Next

States, local communities, and the federal government have helped schools purchase digital devices, upgrade broadband, and buy software to help kids make up for more than a year of “unfinished learning.” Educators are now more equipped than ever with the technologies and the skills they need to use digital learning to help fill those learning gaps. But challenges and problems persist. Educators report feeling burned out by the overuse of technology, sustaining digital equity measures put in place during the pandemic will be very difficult, and helping educators understand how to integrate technology into teaching and learning in meaningful ways remains a constant struggle.
